President & Chief Executive Officer

Nick Earl serves as Glu’s President and Chief Executive Officer and holds a seat on the company’s Board of Directors. A twenty-year game industry veteran, Nick joined Glu in 2015 from Kabam Inc. and Electronic Arts. At Kabam, Earl was President of Worldwide Studios, presiding over hits such as Marvel: Contest of Champions. At EA, Earl was SVP of EA Mobile, overseeing freemium hits such as The Simpsons™: Tapped Out, The Sims™ FreePlay and Real Racing 3. He also led the company’s transition from the premium to freemium model. Prior to EA Mobile, Earl was senior vice president of EA Games launching such console and PC franchises as Knockout Kings, James Bond, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, The Godfather, The Sims, The Simpsons, Lord of the Rings and Dead Space.

Nick holds a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.

Eric R. Ludwig, Glu’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for all financial and administrative operations, including human resources, IT, legal and investor relations. Additionally, he is responsible for driving game studio profitability, headcount and resource planning and M&A diligence and integration.

Prior to joining Glu, Eric served in various positions at Instill Corporation, an on-demand supply chain software company, most recently as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Instill, Eric served as Corporate Controller at Camstar Systems, Inc., an enterprise manufacturing execution and quality systems software company from 1994 to 1996. He also worked at Price Waterhouse L.L.P. for five years in the tax and audit functions in the San Jose office focusing on software companies and IPOs.

Eric holds a B.S. in commerce from Santa Clara University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Chris Akhavan

Chris Akhavan oversees Glu’s worldwide business operations including user acquisition, marketing, advertising monetization, business development, analytics, and revenue tech. Chris brings to Glu a strong background in mobile monetization, advertising, and business development.

Prior to joining Glu, he served as Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships for Tapjoy where he was a key early member of the team that built a leading mobile advertising and monetization platform. Chris was instrumental in building and scaling Tapjoy’s commercial operations globally.

Before joining Tapjoy, Chris held positions at RockYou!, VideoEgg and Yahoo!. Chris holds a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Dave Waisglass serves as Vice President and General Manager of Glu’s Toronto studio where he leads the company’s Casual RPG genre, managing the design, development and live-operations of games including hit celebrity titles, Kendall & Kylie and the award-winning Kim Kardashian: Hollywood – Glu’s most successful title to-date with over 40 million downloads and over $200 million in bookings. Having been awarded a 2014 Crunchie Award, named as one of the ‘best games of 2014’ by Facebook, Google, Apple, Mashable, one of the ’15 Most Influential Fictional Characters’ by TIME Magazine, and featured on the cover of Forbes and AdWeek respectively, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood undoubtedly set the bar for celebrity gaming. Dave has a strong track record of design and development leadership on multiple top-10-grossing games, as the Co-Founder and Vice President of Creative Development of Blammo Games (acquired by Glu in 2011), and in a previous role as Director of Planning at Capcom Mobile, where he served as the principal designer of #1 grossing, breakout mobile success, Smurfs’ Village. He holds a Bachelor of Art’s degree from York University with an unofficial minor in playing Quake.

Becky Ann Hughes serves as Vice President and General Manager at Glu Mobile where she leads the GluPlay Studio, originator of the successful “DASH” series of mobile games including Diner DASH, Cooking DASH, and Restaurant DASH with Gordon Ramsay. Boasting a loyal fan base, the DASH franchise generates consistent revenue for Glu’s business. What drives that consistency is Becky Ann’s keen understanding of the business, gaming industry and her passion for creating engaging and memorable content. Since joining the GluPlay team in 2010, she has spearheaded the growth of the studio while guiding the DASH franchise to more meaningful financial success. She held various leadership roles in Product Marketing and Product Management at PlayFirst Inc. (acquired by Glu in 2014) where she was responsible for guiding the DASH brand from PC to mobile and from a premium business model to its current free-to-play platform. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing from San Jose State University.

Jerome Collin

Jerome Collin serves as Vice President and General Manager of Glu’s San Mateo studio where he leads the design, development and live operations of the Tap Sports Baseball franchise, the #1 baseball game on mobile as well as an upcoming title in partnership with WWE. With over a decade in the industry, Jerome has an extensive background in mobile game development and studio management. Prior to Glu, he served in various leadership roles at Electronic Arts, Zynga and Digital Chocolate. He credits Zynga with teaching him effective Product Management in the free-to-play mobile games space. It is a valuable role and skillset that he not only enjoys, but allows him to think critically and creative at the same time.

Jerome was the Co-Founder of Pick6 Studios, a small development startup acquired by Glu in 2013 which grew the current San Mateo studio from three Founders to now more than 50 employees. Jerome grew up in Germany and has a degree from the University of Hamburg. He loves soccer and most team sports, so building sports games is a dream come true for him.

Current Senior Vice President at Glu Mobile and former Vice President and General Manager at Electronic Arts, Mark van Ryswyk is a veteran of the gaming industry. He has led multiple teams both creatively and operationally, leveraging his extensive background in harnessing creativity, live operations growth, and studio management. He currently leads Glu’s Crowdstar Studio, the creators of Design Home and Covet Fashion, two franchises focused on delighting female players by connecting their creativity with their aspirations to play.

During his time at EA, he served in multiple capacities within in the mobile division, supporting the transition of EA Mobile into a free-to-play live services business, with titles like Real Racing, Sim City, Tetris, along with several others.

Mike Olsen serves as Senior Vice President & General Manager of one of Glu’s San Francisco studios where he leads the company’s efforts to foster a new prototyping culture and actively growing new teams to execute on bringing new and exciting titles into the marketplace. He actively oversees the production of several titles in various stages of development. Mike brings an extensive background in creative direction, game design, studio management and live operations. He is a passionate leader who strives to innovate and inspire those around him.

A twenty-year industry veteran spanning mobile, console, online and PC gaming – Mike joined Glu from Electronic Arts where he served as General Manager and Creative Leader for 25 titles including The Godfather, Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf and most recently, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes which boasts over 30 million downloads and was awarded Apple’s Editor’s Choice and Google’s Best Picks. He has been honored as an EA inventor, having been named as a co-inventor on three registered patents for his work with the company. Mike collects pinball machines and has two English Bulldogs named Capone and Bugsy.

Scott Leichtner serves as Glu’s Vice President and General Counsel where he is responsible for overseeing all of the company’s legal matters. Prior to joining Glu, Scott worked as a corporate attorney for more than 10 years at Fenwick & West LLP, a Silicon Valley law firm, where he handled a wide range of corporate governance matters and complex transactions, including equity and debt offerings, M&A transactions and venture capital financings. Prior to Fenwick, Scott worked as a corporate attorney at Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, a Manhattan law firm, where he primarily worked on structured finance transactions. Scott has a B.A. degree in Political Science from Duke University and a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School.

Dominic Martinelli serves as Glu’s Vice President of Global Customer and Technical Operations, responsible for leading the IT, Devops, and Customer Care teams with the goal of continuously improving day to day operations and aligning technology with the strategic goals of the company. Dominic has more than 20 of IT experience, most recently as VP & Chief Information Officer at SGI (formerly Rackable Systems). Prior to SGI, Dominic worked at Juniper Networks where he held global responsibility for all data center infrastructure, networks, servers, and storage infrastructures. Dominic holds a BA (Honors) from University of California at Santa Cruz.

Harman Singh serves as Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations, leading Glu’s financial planning and analysis team as well as strategic investor relations activity. With over 20 years of progressive finance experience working in a dynamic technology industry, Harman’s expertise lies in defining actionable plans and developing strategic business models to achieve success. He has a strong track record from managing public companies to hyper growth private companies. Prior to Glu, he served in various FP&A leadership roles for App Annie, Couchbase, Model N, and Windriver. While at Model N he was instrumental in building out the finance function that supported a $120M IPO. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Banking from San Francisco State University. Harman enjoys cooking and one day would like to own his own gastro pub.

Gordon Lee serves as Glu Mobile’s Vice President of Accounting, strengthening the company’s finance capabilities with over 10 years of public accounting experience. Prior to Glu, he led a global accounting team as Worldwide Corporate Controller for Twitter Inc. While there, he oversaw several strategic initiatives including various components of Twitter’s IPO in 2013. Prior to that, Lee held a position at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he directed many multinational business activities. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce Accounting from Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business.

Chuck Elberti serves as Senior Vice President of Glu’s Revenue Platform where he leads a robust technology organization including the company’s revenue engineering and analytics groups. With a dynamic background spanning both web and mobile platforms, his expertise lies in engineering big data analytic platforms, developing predictive analytic and machine learning solutions – he works closely with data science teams at Glu to deliver actionable insights to achieve measurable results. Prior to Glu, Elberti served as Chief Technology Officer for Credit Suisse Labs where he managed the company’s technical organization with the mission to help Credit Suisse build new businesses and reimagine existing businesses leveraging data, design thinking, cloud and modern dev/ops practice. Chuck previously held a senior leadership role at Glu where he led aspects of analytics and data science including product analytics, big data engineering, and user research. He has also held data science roles at DeNA, Thomson Reuters and SunGard.

Niccolo de Masi

Niccolo has been Executive Chairman of Glu since November 2016.  He originally joined Glu as its President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2010, having previously been Chief Executive Officer and President of Hands-On Mobile from 2008-2009.  Niccolo was Chief Executive Officer of London-listed mobile entertainment company Monstermob Group PLC from 2006-2007, and held other C-suite roles from 2004. Prior to joining Monstermob, Mr. de Masi worked in a variety of corporate finance and operational roles within the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sector, beginning his career with JP Morgan on both the TMT debt capital markets and mergers and acquisitions teams in London. Mr. de Masi holds an M.A. degree in Physics, and an MSci. degree in Electronic Engineering—both from Cambridge University. He has served on the Board of NASDAQ-listed Xura, Inc. and a member of the audit committee.  He is also a founding member of the Honeywell Homes spinoff Board of Directors, Resideo Technologies ,and a member of the compensation and audit committees.

Eric Ball joined Glu’s board in October 2013 and has served as Chairman of the Audit Committee since January 2014. Eric is Co-Founder and General Partner at Impact Venture Capital, an early-stage technology venture firm. Eric served as Chief Financial Officer of C3 IoT, an enterprise application software company in 2015-16. Prior to that, Ball served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer for Oracle for 11 years and brings to Glu strong public company experience in managing worldwide treasury operations, capital markets activity, investment portfolio, foreign exchange, stock services, and risk management. He also served on the compensation and audit committees for Oracle Japan 2006-15, and chairs the audit committee for Answers Corporation. Prior to joining Oracle, Eric worked in a variety of headquarters and operating finance roles at Flextronics, Cisco Systems, Avery Dennison, and AT&T. He was named by Treasury & Risk Management magazine in November 2003 as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” in Finance, and in June 2011 as one of the “100 Most Influential People in Finance.” Ball is a Kauffman Fellow, having completed a two-year program dedicated to innovation investing.

Ann Mather joined Glu’s board of directors in September 2005. She currently sits on the boards of directors of Alphabet Inc., Arista Networks, MGM Holdings Inc., Netflix, Inc., and Shutterfly, Inc., and is one of the independent trustees of the Dodge & Cox Funds. From May 2004 until its acquisition by eBay in 2005, Ann served as a director of Shopping.com. From 1999 to 2004, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Pixar Animation Studios where she was responsible for finance, administration, business affairs, investor relations and human resources. Prior to joining Pixar, Ann was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Village Roadshow Pictures, and she held various executive positions at the Walt Disney Company in Los Angeles from 1993 to 1999, including Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration for its Buena Vista International Theatrical Division. Ann also held various executive positions in Europe, including a position with Disney in Paris where she helped start the international theatrical distribution arm in ten European countries, as well as positions with Alico (a division of AIG) and Paramount Pictures. Ann holds an M.A. from Cambridge University in England.

Hany Nada

Hany Nada joined Glu’s board of directors in April 2005. Hany is a co-founder of GGV Capital (formerly Granite Global Ventures) and has worked as a long-term partner with more than 150 companies over the past decade to build companies that can succeed in today’s global marketplace. He is a trusted resource to public and private company CEOs and management teams on global market development, customer introductions and M&A/IPO guidance across US and Asian markets. CEOs that have worked with Hany characterize him as their go-to advisor for both general direction and company growth strategies. As a leading venture investor, Hany made his first investment in China in 2001, and has led the firm’s successful investments in athenahealth (NASDAQ: ATHN), Endeca (acquired by Oracle) Glu Mobile (NASDAQ: GLUU), Kintana (acquired by Mercury Interactive), Turbine (acquired by Time Warner) and Xfire (acquired by Viacom). Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of Medium Entertainment, Inc. (PlayHaven), and WildTangent, Inc. Hany is also an observer on the Board of Directors of Houzz Inc. In addition to actively making investments in the mobile and digital media sectors in the US and China, Hany is responsible for one of the industry’s most successful China/US investment teams as well as general oversight of the firm’s funds.

Benjamin T. Smith, IV

Ben Smith has served as one of Glu’s directors since November 2010 and has served as chairman of the Compensation Committee since April 2013. Ben is one of the pioneers of the freemium mobile gaming space, having been one of the earliest investors in Tapulous, providing leadership to its Board through its sale to the Walt Disney Company. From April 2012 to June 2016, Ben served as the Chief Executive Officer of Wanderful Media, a new media shopping company. Prior to joining Wanderful Media, Ben served as an independent director of and advisor to technology companies, including in his role as a Venture Partner at Accelerator Venture Capital, where he has served since December 2011. Previously, Mr. Smith served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of WYBS, Inc. d/b/a MerchantCircle, a leading social network of small business owners, from when he co-founded the company in August 2004 until the company was sold to Reply.com in May 2011. Ben previously co-founded Spoke Software, where he helped architect the business, establish a patent portfolio in social networking, and guide the company to its initial customers and through its establishment as a leading public database of business professionals. Ben has also held executive positions with Borland Software, EDS and A.T. Kearney, a strategy consulting firm, and served the Bush Administration as the Senior Advisor for Strategy and Planning to the Secretary of Transportation from 2001 to 2002. Ben continues to serve as on the board of directors of Spoke Software, as well as an advisor or investor in several other private companies, and provides advisory services to a number of high-technology companies. He holds a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Davis.

Greg Brandeau

Greg Brandeau joined Glu’s Board of Directors in September 2015. As the former CTO of Walt Disney Animation Studios and former SVP of Technology for Pixar Animation Studios, he brings to Glu a strong background in technology management experience. In addition to serving on the Board at Glu, Brandeau currently serves as Managing Partner of  Paradox Strategies(f/k/a Slices of Genius), a consulting organization founded by Mr. Brandeau, an advisory board member for Infrascale, Inc. and the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology. He is also a member of the Visiting Committee for the Humanities at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition to his prior technology management roles at Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar, he has served in various technology management roles for companies including Maker Media, Periegen Sciences, NeXT Computer and Mountain Network Solutions. He is the co-author of Collective Genius: The Art and Practice of Leading Innovation. Brandeau holds B.S and M.S degrees in Electronic Engineering from MIT, and an MBA from Duke University.

Ben Feder joined Glu’s Board of Director’s in January 2017 as an appointee of Tencent pursuant to Glu’s arrangement with Tencent. He currently serves as President, International Partnerships (North America) of Tencent. Prior to joining Tencent in October 2016, Mr. Feder served as co-founder, partner and vice chairman of ZelnickMedia Corporation, a media investment and management firm, and was also Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Take Two Interactive. Prior to co-founding ZelnickMedia, Mr. Feder was Chief Executive Officer of MessageClick, a leading provider of voice messaging technology for next-generation telephone networks, and held a senior position with News Corporation.

Gaby Toledano

Gaby Toledano joined Glu’s Board of Directors in December 2017 and brings to Glu a strong background in gaming and technology management experience. Ms. Toledano is currently the Chief People Officer of Tesla, Inc. where she leads several functions including human resources, facilities, security and environment, health and safety. Prior to Tesla, she was the Chief Talent Officer and Executive Vice President of Electronic Arts Inc., where she led EA’s human resources, facilities and corporate social responsibility functions for 10 years. Prior to EA, Ms. Toledano served as Chief People Officer at Siebel Systems and prior to that held various HR leadership roles at Microsoft and Oracle. She holds a B.A. degree in Modern Thought and Literature and a M.A. degree in Education, both from Stanford University. Gaby has vast Board experience, having served on the Boards of Jive Software, Visier, Inc., TalentSky, Jhana, the Society of Human Resources Management and Big City Mountaineers (a non-profit focused on mentoring and wilderness education for under-resourced youth). Gaby is fluent in Spanish and has lived in Spain and in Chile, where she was on a Rotary scholarship. Gaby is very committed to supporting diversity, specifically increasing the number of minorities and women in gaming and technology.
